PORTS 1961 introduces its Fall/Winter 2024 collection, "Alpine Adventure,” inspired by the majestic beauty of the alpine landscape.
The collection matches feminine against masculine elements, utilising intricate folds and tailoring to achieve a box-like shape on classically softer silhouettes. Dusty pinks are set against obsidian noirs; cerulean and icy blues dominate the colour palette, echoing the hues of glacial ice and snow-capped peaks. Mountain greens are a call-back to the abundance of foliage found amongst the natural setting.
From jackets to trousers, each piece pays homage to the natural elements of the alpine region, incorporating embroidery and floral details.
Special prints from the season include the reinterpretation of the polka dot, where abstract dot placements are designed by hand, creating an elevated and artistic aesthetic. Monochromatic denim jacquards are distinctively constructed, depicting scenes of the wilderness, while metal snap buckles honour the noble tradition of mountain trekking.
