Designs encapsulate modern creativity while retaining the craftsmanship legacy of the prestigious label.

Initiated in 2015 in collaboration with Central Saint Martins, the PORTS 1961 scholarship was created for individuals who shared the brand’s passion for global
perspectives in fashion. This highly coveted award provided a contribution
towards tuition fees and living expenses, reducing the financial burden for one
student who was afforded the opportunity to study in one of the world’s most
dynamic creative environments.

Over the years, the PORTS 1961 scholarship has paved the way for numerous graduates to kickstart successful careers in the fashion industry. Recent scholarship
recipients were interviewed, offering their perspectives on the role of the
scholarship during their studies at Central Saint Martins.

“Thanks to the PORTS scholarship, I had the confidence to continue my studies in a very positive mode,” said Louis Chen, who was the PORTS 1961 Scholarship recipient in 2020, of his experience. Dean Chan, 2022 scholarship recipient, talked about his experience working at the PORTS London Creative Centre, where he gained invaluable insights. He said, “This was a great experience for helping me to
see what goes into building up a luxury fashion brand.” 

Further, Fabio Piras, Course Leader of MA Fashion at Central Saint Martins said, “The
scholarship program helped the students immensely. It really enabled the students to develop; having the time to dedicate to their studies.” The longstanding partnership between PORTS 1961 and Central Saint Martins emphasized the brand’s commitment to fostering emerging talent within the fashion industry.
